 Печать PDF       WHY MARRIAGE MATTERS IN AMERICA/ Почему брак так важен в Америке? 

Какие ассоциации вызывает в вашем сознании слово гармония? По всей вероятности, вы сразу же вспоминаем о благозвучной музыке, построенной на определенных законах. Именно законы гармонии позволяют композитору творить музыкальную композицию, благотворно влияющую на слушателя. А как обстоят дела с гармонией нашей семейной жизни, с гармонией межличностных отношений – между мужем и женой, родителями и детьми? Возможно ли создать крепкую, «благозвучную» семью без соблюдения определенных законов? Всякий разумный человек понимает, что нет. Как и в музыке, в системе межличностных отношений неуместна хаотичность и неустройство. Славянский Центр Помощи предлагаем всем беженцам пройти уникальную программу "Здоровый брак" - для укрепления семьи. В рамках данной программы наш центр организует и проводит специальные бесплатные семинары для семей беженцев. The California Refugee Healthy Marriage Project is a statewide collaborative project led by Lao Family and involves three refugee community-based organizations including Cambodian Association of America, Slavic Assistance Center, and Vietnamese Community Development, Inc.  With a goal of promoting the maintenance and preservation of stable marriages and family units in the refugee community, the California Refugee Healthy Marriage Project uses the Power of Two curriculum to deliver culturally-sensitive education workshops and activities to families struggling with the unique challenges of integration and acculturation.

The California Refugee Healthy Marriage Project offers assistance to couples (including pre-marriage) and families that focuses on:  developing, building, and maintaining strong and satisfying marriages; developing effective communication anger management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills; marriage- and family-strengthening activities; family financial literacy, management and budgeting, and asset development; effective parenting techniques and raising children in a positive environment. 
Our RADIO PROGRAM  "Healthy Family" is oriented towards the needs of our refugee families. It's a half-hour program, once a week, every Monday, at 6:30 p.m., on the radio 1690 AM. The primary purpose of the program is to inform our refugees about healthy marriage programs/workshops/etc. We are providing practical educational tools workshops to address the issues affecting refugee marriages/kids/family.
